Commercially available CLEVIOS PH1000 and FE-T, which are among the highest conducting polymers, demonstrate very promising thermoelectric power factors that among the highest power factors for organic materials without any modification as seen in Figure 1. CLEVIOS products are also promising candidates to be used for organic and inorganic composite materials. Our composites, which incorporated p- and n-type Bi2Te3 respectively, showed outstanding power factors for both p and n behaviors. The contact resistance between PEDOT and Bi2Te3 was the limiting factor for further thermoelectric property improvement. Figure 2 shoes that rinsing the Bi2Te3 with HCl the contact resistance was decreased allowing for a enhancement of the power factor.
